The cover of Adventure Comics #75 from 1942 shows Jack Kirby’s Sandman, aided by his sidekick, Sandy, doing battle with Thor. At the dawn of 1992, comic books were booming. Between 1906 and 1934, Cupples & Leon published more than 100 titles in that format. Wonder Woman was the best thing in Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice and the trailer looks suitably juicy. Blackthorne also did good numbers on a How to Draw Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series.

While I’ve been waiting for the end of Chew to give it the full Comic POW! treatment, Dan and I did cover it a couple times early in Comic POW! history when we used to do the Weekly POW!s: On the first day of Baltimore Comic-Con I was able to score two awesome interviews – John Layman and Rob Guillory of Chew.
